allux 2.0 Theme Idea

Allux 2.0 idea.This is a idea for the next gnome-rn theme in allux 2.0

A complete clean and simple interface.
New bottom panel instead of avant-window-navigator.
A surface image viewer .

Ipad WTF

A lot of expeculation of this device, it was supposes to be the next generation of computers and replace the notebooks , laptops and change the entire way to user-machine interaction , but ....

ipad its not the next generation at least not yet ,after see all the features of the ipad i have to say... what a piece of shit, the reason is simple its a fucking iPhone only bigger, the developers say its the best thing than mac has release , steve jobs says that its a device between a mobile device and a notebook, but why,why they do that why not just create a device better than both even better that a laptop, when they have all the tools to do it , way just create a fucking extra large iphone i can believe that the mac team release this thing and expect to convince the customer that they actually need that piece of crap.

Gnome -RN +RGBA Allus

Here a screencap, of the power of gnome-rn 2.28 using the rgba support. unfortunantly the creator of theme only share the screencap,but no any sources or a tutorial to make this theme.

We are trying to duplicate this theme in allus, if some one can do it please share a tutorial or the theme.

We have a idea to the next allus theme like this one, but we cant get the full transparency the next theme of allus that we are working will be something like this.

WINDOWS 7 GODMOD

Ed Co-founder of allus and founder of allux project recently in cooperation with other members of allus project make a full test to the last operative systems of 2009 windows 7,Ubuntu 9.10,Ubuntu 10.04 alpha, Mac OS Leopard snow, Suse 11.2 Mandriva 2010. and we found some interesting tricks in each one of them today we bring one trick to one of the most popular os of 2009 windows
this is a trick call the godmod

Windows 7 God Mode

Here's how you enable it:

Create a new folder (right-click and click on “New Folder”). Right-click on the folder and click on rename, copy and paste this: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

What comes up is a Control Panel like window with sections for Action Center ("Check security status" and so on), Administrative Tools, and AutoPlay.

Nothing major, frankly, but interesting. Use at your own risk, of course.

AL Media Center 1.0

Taking the same idea of the allux project we just start to create the al media center, thanks to ed we are going to using the allux source and make allux 1.0 media center more stable for allus system so in that way any linux user can get it. and make it work like xmbc or elisa , also this software will be different from allux , we don't know way but allux develper center is changing a lot , making really difficult for allus team to create a good stability between this 2 systems , we hope that allux developer center change this in future versions of allux.

al 1.0 will release a beta on march 25 .Can wait You can get the xbmc.allus user the source is already add so just go to terminal and sudo apt-get install xbmc
linux users
 $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install xbmc
$ sudo apt-get update

or if you prefer elisa

Packages for GNU/Linux distributions

Ubuntu

Supported architectures are: i386, amd64, lpia

Updated packages are build in our PPA with every new release. Some instructions are available there, but since we're so nice, we're giving you some help here (below) as well.

First make sure any previous version of elisa is uninstalled (known conflicts between Elisa and Moovida). Type in a terminal:

sudo aptitude purge '~nelisa'

Add the following line in System > Administration > Software Sources > Third-Party Software:

  • On Hardy Heron (8.04):
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/moovida-packagers/ppa/ubuntu hardy main
  • On Karmic Koala (9.10):
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/moovida-packagers/ppa/ubuntu karmic main

Add the PPA's public key to be certain you get the right packages and get rid of the warning messages when running apt-get update. Type in a terminal:

gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv 26C2E075 && \ gpg --export --armor 26C2E075 | sudo apt-key add - && \ sudo apt-get update

Then run (in a terminal):

sudo aptitude install moovida

Foresight

Run in a terminal:

sudo conary update moovida -install-label foresight.rpath.org@fl:2-devel

(from http://www.foresightlinux.se/blog/2009/09/19/moovida-media-center)

Mandriva Linux

Packages are available in the /contrib section.

For Mandriva Linux Cooker (the development release)

The packages are in /contrib/release.

For Mandriva Linux 2008

The packages are in /contrib/backports. For instructions on setting up the /contrib/backports repository, see http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/Docs/Basic_tasks/Installing_and_removing_software#Advanced_use:_Backports_and_candidate_updates . Once the repository is configured, you can simply install the 'elisa' package. Only required dependencies will be installed; for optional dependencies, please see the Elisa README.txt.

Suse

Packman provide pigment and elisa RPMS. See http://packman.links2linux.de/package/elisa and http://packman.links2linux.de/package/pigment

Fedora Core 7

RPMs for Elisa and all its dependencies are available on the Official repositories. Many thanks to Matthias Saou for taking time to build all these packages :-)

Fedora 9, 10, 11

New packages of Moovida for Fedora 9, 10 and 11 are available in http://people.fluendo.com/matthias/moovida/. Redhat bugzilla in reference to getting something in official repositories here https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=429590

Fedora 12

There is a process to get Moovida into Fedora 12. See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=530021 and https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=510965.

Debian

Elisa is officially packaged on Debian Sid. Be sure to have unstable repositories configured in /etc/apt/sources.list and run:

$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install elisa

Sabayon Linux

Elisa is officially packaged on the Sabayon 4.0 Branch, It available in both Sabayon's overlay (for Gentoo/portage users) and Entropy. To install via Entropy:

# equo update # equo install elisa

To install via the sabayon overlay:

# layman -s sabayon (or layman -a sabayon if you do not have the sabayon overlay installed) # emerge -av media-tv/elisa

Gentoo

To install via the thelinuxfr overlay:

# layman -o http://thelinux.googlecode.com/svn/gentoo/layman.xml -f -a thelinux # emerge -av media-video/moovida

Arch Linux

Enable community repo, then:

# pacman -S moovida setuptoolsInstall the whole group. Bleeding edge buildscripts are provided in aur.

Allus users the elisa package was replaced by xbmc so use the ubuntu sources. allus 3.5 beta users can use mandriva,ubuntu,debian,or suse

GNOME

Ubuntu Lucid Alpha 1 includes the latest GNOME desktop environment with a number of great new features. RGBA FULL SUPPORT

Linux kernel 2.6.32

Alpha 1 includes the 2.6.32-7.10 based on 2.6.32.

KDE SC 4.4 beta 1

Alpha 1 of Kubuntu features the new KDE SC 4.4 beta 1. For more information about new features in Kubuntu.

Hal removal

Lucid Alpha 1 sports full removal of the hal package, making Ubuntu faster to boot and faster to resume from suspend.

Allus 3.5

we just decide to change the next version of allus 3.5 to january-february instead of second relaese just after lucid lynx.

so the next version of allus will be change the ubuntu 8.04 source for the ubuntu 10.04 source.

Who to RGBA support on nautilus

Today i bring to linux Newbies a tutorial of how enable a transparency on nautilus this give your window manger a full aereo look on your linux distribution.

Advisory-This its a experimental tutorial so you use at your own risk

Compiled nautilus 2.22.3 from source with the patches and I have transparency now. Murrine engine and all patchs are not ready, so again install it AT YOUR OWN RISK. You need a composite manager as Compiz fusion or the new metacity. It does not work on Nvidia graphics cards.

--

If you want this:

First: Install murrine engine svn and install some themes.

Second: Download Nautilus 2.22.3, 2.23.5 or 2.24.1 source. You can download all versions from here:

http://ftp.acc.umu.se/pub/GNOME/sources/nautilus/

Or download with apt-get:

Sudo apt-get source nautilus

Third: Install nautilus dependencies to compile. In debian or Ubuntu you can use:

sudo apt-get build-dep nautilus

fourth:Replace the nautilus-desktop-window.c and nautilus-window.c into the src folder in the nautilus source.

fifth: Remove your nautilus version.

sixth: Compile and install Nautilus.

./configure
make
sudo make install

Seventh: Restart Nautilus.

Thanks CIMI for murrine engine.

Thanks Zniavre for the updates.

at the end you get something like this.

Free Weekend (Windows 8)

In allus we decided to leave a open weekend for other news , including allus so tody we we brought to you the next version of the Microsoft monster ,it seems that the next version of windows will come whit a lot new features, you may wonder why not uses these features in windows 7, the answer its simple if windows 7 try this features the requirements be huge and the pc whit windows vista capable be useless or maybe just want to make more money but anyway here the video of a possible next windows.
